Dina Louise Biscotti grew up in Claremont, California and graduated from Claremont High School in 1991. She earned her BA in Sociology at UC San Diego in 1996 and her PhD in Sociology at UC Davis in 2010. Dina died in December 2014 due to an aggressive and rare form of uterine cancer.
