Sustainable Horticulture Selects Plants for New Low-water Landscape

The Arboretum Public Garden's Learning by Leading™ Sustainable Horticulture team is creating another low-water landscape! This video showcases the team embarking on the process of selecting attractive, low-water plants for their design. The team will be landscaping three plots, each with different watering conditions: once every two weeks, once a month, once every two months and not watered at all. The plots are located on Garrod Drive adjacent to the Large Animal Blood Donor Facility.

When complete the project will enable the public a chance to see how various watering conditions affect plants. Over the next few months the team will be prepping the plots by weeding, planting, and observing how the plants tolerate the differing plot conditions.
