IN THE NEWS: UC Davis Crops and Compassion Help Feed Those in Need

Stacey Parker, GATEways Horticulturist, and two students she mentored, Hanna Morris and Carli Hambley, are featured in a UC Davis news article “UC Davis Crops and Compassion Help Feed Those in Need.”

Not mentioned in the article, but equally important, is Devon Zagory, husband to our Director of Public Horticulture, Ellen Zagory. He volunteered his food safety expertise to help our team negotiate food safety regulations and worked with campus environmental health and safety staff to make sure we met all the requirements necessary to be able to provide surplus produce to students and community members in need.

Congratulations to Stacey, Hanna, Carli and Devon on their incredible tenacity which helped make these important programs possible for our campus and community!
