What is a Sound Bath?
A sound bath is a guided listening experience. You'll settle into a comfortable position, close your eyes, and let the sound wash over you. Many people find it a gentle way to slow down, release tension, and reconnect with the present moment. Held outdoors, the experience blends with the natural sounds around you, as the instruments mingle with the rustling of leaves, birdsong, and dappled light of the garden.
What to expect?
Participants will be guided through approximately one hour of restorative sound. The session begins with time to arrive and settle in, followed by a guided soundscape featuring gongs and crystal singing bowls, and closes with a gentle transition back to the day. Participants rest on mats in the gazebo, and no experience or preparation is required.
Meeting Location
We will be meeting at the Carolee Shields White Flower Garden and Gazebo, located at the west end of the Arboretum, near the Arboretum Teaching Nursery. Parking is free on the weekends. Visitor parking is available in Lots 54 and 55.
