Update: La Rue Bridge replacement

The La Rue Bridge replacement project is well underway with plans to shift vehicular traffic from the current portion of the old bridge to the completed half of the new bridge in mid-April. Design and Construction Management (DCM) is on track to demolish the remaining half of the old bridge and complete the rest of new bridge by the start of Fall quarter.

Detour Allows for Completion of Accessible Path

Beginning in November, campus visitors to the Arboretum will encounter another, relatively small and short-term detour. Alternative paths and clear signage will make this re-route hassle-free.

La Rue Road Bridge Replacement Project

This spring, construction will begin on the La Rue Road Bridge replacement. The new bridge will safely accommodate the increasing number of cars, bikes and pedestrians now traveling to and from the campus’s expanding Gateway District.
