Sensitive to root zone disturbance; susceptible to oak wilt, Chestnut Blight, and Armillaria; resistant to Verticillium. Allergy health hazard.

Field Trial Monitoring Results

Fair potential utility as an urban tree based on evaluation of 5 trees, healthy crown, 100% survival, very slow growth rate. Signs of chlorosis on a few individuals. 

Propagation Results

We had near 100% germination with seed sown outdoors in December. Seedlings can suffer with our poor water quality but so far are growing slowly with additional fertilization.
