Volunteers needed for community planting daysConstruction on the UC Davis California Native Plant GATEway Garden is nearing completion! The time has come for us to begin landscaping the area with plants that are not only native to California, but native to our local lower Putah Creek watershed. It’s a big job and we need help! If you are interested, we are recruiting for volunteers to help for a couple hours on Sunday, November 24 from 10 a.m.-12 p.m. Read more > 

 

 

Volunteers swap plants and gardening tips

In November, we hosted our second annual volunteer plant swap. Over 30 volunteers came out with seeds, plants and supplies of all sizes to share their knowledge and gardens with each other. Hosted by the Friends of the UC Davis Arboretum and Public Garden, the plant swap brings plant-lovers together to cultivate community among Arboretum volunteers. Read more > 

 

 

“Pay as you go” campus parking – at last!Using the same principle as prepaid credit and phone cards, Transportation and Parking Services (TAPS) now offers handy prepaid parking minutes with the EasyPark Personal Parking Meter (PPM).  This small electronic device, available from TAPS, is operated and displayed from the convenience of your car. No swiping required!  Just press “ON” when you arrive at a Visitor Lot, C Lot, or metered space and “OFF” when you leave.
