On July 1, 2016, the university is increasing the minimum endowment level from $25,000 to $50,000. The university will grandfather in $25,000 endowments after July 1 if they are already in progress prior to July 1. If you are thinking of creating an endowment for the Arboretum and Public Garden, or any part of the University, and you are more comfortable with the $25,000 endowment, please get in touch as soon as possible with Garth Lindley, Director of Development, for the UC Davis Arboretum and Public Garden at lindley@ucdavis.edu or (530) 752-8637. Endowments can be created with a pledge of up to five years, for example $5,000 a year for 5 years.

Our newest endowment was created by long time volunteer Shirley Maus to support the California Foothills Collection. Endowments can be created to support the overall Arboretum, particular gardens or programs.
