Community Volunteer Day

A group of people kneeling and working together to plant vegetation along the edge of a waterway. They are wearing gloves and outdoor clothing, with some wearing lanyards and ID badges. The scene is surrounded by lush greenery, with trees and a retaining wall visible in the background. The water reflects the sunlight filtering through the trees, creating a peaceful outdoor setting."

Thank you for considering attending a Community Volunteer Day with the UC Davis Arboretum and Public Garden! Volunteer days are a great way to give back, meet other members of the community who enjoy volunteering and gardening, and experience the therapeutic effects of spending time in nature.  No prior gardening experience is needed to participate, and everyone over the age of 18 is welcome regardless of your affiliation with UC Davis.

Our February volunteer day will take place on Sat., Feb. 8 from 9:30 a.m.- 12 p.m. We will meet at Putah Creek Lodge, located on the Southside of the waterway, across the bridge from the parking lot. The workday will take place on the banks of the Arboretum Waterway near Putah Creek Lodge, and will involve planting and maintenance of the newly graded banks!
